I like the tree branches in this one better than the branches in my last submission. There are some problems with the folds of the dress. But, it was quite a while since I had a finished piece and I had fun finishing this up. More practice with the pencils, and I worked at a bit larger scale than usual.

Watercolor pencil and drawing ink.

The branches are really nice, and very detailed. They look perfectly spaced apart, too ^ ^ I love the wispy hair! It's so pretty and flowy XD And the outfit is a pretty style, I like the sleeves. The whole thing reminds me of the weather now here, right before Spring where it's still cool out and not too warm :heart:

This is quite beautiful. I really love her hair, and the slight art-nouveauing (thats not a word :o) of the few strands, that really makes it interesting. Also, the soft blues in her green dress work so absolutely perfectly, I kind of wish you would have taken them into her pale skin a little bit :) The tree is really visually compelling, though it seems a little creepy and wintery for spring o_O; She has a very elegant face, though I think I would have liked to see a little more strong shadowing? Still, it's a really beautiful piece. :) How big is it, then?

on the scale of worlds, to say nothing of stars and galaxies, humans are inconsequential. a thin film of life, on an obscure and solitary lump of rock and metal.

That's so really beautiful!!! It reminds me of the celts... I don't know why. I saw it and thought, there is something celtic in it ^^;
The coloration is awesome and I love her hair :aww:
And the idea with the branches in the background is great!
